Volunteer Positions at Charity House

Charity House is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our mission of helping men in recovery.

  • Job Description: Responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of the facility, including repairs, landscaping, and janitorial tasks. Ensure that the environment is safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

  • Job Description: Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to men enrolled in the recovery program. Help them navigate challenges and celebrate successes as they work towards personal goals.

  • Job Description: Assist in unloading food and supplies from delivery trucks and organizing pantry items. Ensure that the pantry is well-stocked and accessible for those in need.

  • Job Description: Serve as representatives of Charity House in the community to promote the program, share success stories, and engage potential supporters and volunteers.

  • Job Description: Support the planning and execution of various events, including concerts, cookouts, EGGFEST, fall festivals, and National Night Out. Roles may include setup, registration, logistics, and clean-up.

  • Job Description: Engage in community outreach through the SWAN Community Group-Participate in or lead activities that foster community regeneration and engaging  local government.

  • Job Description: Organize and participate in community clean-up efforts. Help maintain a clean and inviting environment in local neighborhoods through litter removal and landscaping projects.

  • Job Description: Help prepare and serve meals on Tuesday nights for Goodfellas Meeting. Ensure that meals are nutritious and appealing for a men’s recovery group.

  • Job Description: Offer coaching and support to individuals and families seeking  to improve their relationships. Facilitate workshops and one-on-one sessions focused on communication, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships.

  • Job Description: Assist in decorating the facility and grounds for various holidays.  Bring festive cheer and create a warm atmosphere for residents, visitors and the  community.

  • Job Description: Help prepare and serve meals on Tuesday nights for Goodfellas Meeting. Ensure that meals are nutritious and appealing for a men’s recovery group.

  • Job Description: Provide transportation for residents to appointments, community  events, and outings. Must be 25, have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving  record.

  • Job Description: Share your knowledge and skills by teaching classes or  workshops on various topics, such as life skills, financial management, and job  readiness, and personal development to community members and men in the program.
